The Readers’ Choice Awards celebrate each year the most extraordinary destinations and experiences on the planet, chosen directly by the readers of the renowned publication.
Over 182,500 travellers shared their impressions, recognizing in Valletta a city that perfectly embodies cultural authenticity, historical depth, and contemporary energy, as highlighted by the Malta Tourism Authority.
Tourism Minister Ian Borg stated that Valletta’s recognition as the world’s best city is a source of immense pride and gratitude.
He added that Malta is more determined than ever to enhance its tourism offering, attracting visitors seeking culture, authenticity, and truly meaningful experiences.
Carlo Micallef, CEO of the Malta Tourism Authority, emphasized that this achievement places Valletta — and Malta — at the very heart of the world tourism map.
