REDEVELOPMENT WORKS IN BUGIBBA
The redevelopment works on the new Bugibba square and its seafront began a few weeks ago.
The initial phase of the works, explains Infrastructure Malta, will focus on updating the underground water and sewerage network, as well as connecting the service manholes in the streets near the square.
Although part of the roadway along Triq Dawret il-Gzejjer will be narrowed as the work area will extend to the current on-street car park, the authority reassures that the pedestrian paths will always remain accessible to the public during the works.
“In collaboration with the Malta Tourism Authority, we will transform this popular area into a modern and more attractive space for residents and visitors,” says Infrastructure Malta.
No further details were provided on the project, on the other work phases and on the timing of the interventions.
This initiative aims to strengthen Bugibba’s attractiveness as a tourist destination, offering a more pleasant and accessible experience for all.
Enhancing the beauty of the seafront will also guarantee an improvement in the quality of life for residents too.
